With 250 reviews and a 4.4/5 average, it has the highest review volume of any monitor in this catalog, real and very wide backing. We need to be honest here: the price Amazon.nl currently shows is far above what's typical for this model (several times the real price of one unit), so we'd rather leave it without a confirmed figure than show you an unreliable number.

From what I understand, there are flat/accurate monitors which can quickly fatigue one's ears, and there are flat/accurate monitors that one can/wants to sit in front of all day/night. What I don't understand is why anyone would ever choose the former. Accurate monitors, pumping out sound as beautiful as what you give them. It really is amazing to be able to hear the subtle changes I make in a mix (amateur/hobbyist,) moving sounds about the stereo field. Auto power off feature works like a charm. In my research, I discovered this feature wasn't always implemented so well, but it's perfect now. And maybe I just have a higher noise floor in my "studio," (lol) but I don't hear any hiss that some folks mention. It's perfectly normal to hear hiss from a reference monitors, as they stay permanently cranked up, but I've not been able to discern one yet. Could also be because I'm pumping sound through them nearly all the time, and when I'm not, I'm walking around deaf from the last session. (Just kidding, mostly, but indeed these monitors get as loud as anybody could likely want them.) I love the clean, solid aesthetic. They feel sturdy, clearly of quality construction, when you pull them out of the box. They're stunners to look at, when you get them positioned. And they are the beautiful truth, when you send a signal to them. I did have an issue with one of my monitors when I first got them, which is just my luck. KRK have insanely low return rate, and when I presented my issue, both KRK, and Front Row were ready to solve the issue immediately. I'm feeling these things so much, I'd put up with them even if I had to return one once a month, but that certainly isn't the case. Monitors doing some work for me, and going strong to this moment. I haven't even touched the knob on the back. Flat is bangin. Plug em in, switch em on, and love. I'm sure i'll eventually tune them, when the app is released. So if you're looking at these, it's hard to come up with a single reason why you'd pass them up. I'm trying to make it easy for you: You've found them, "the ones." Unmatched bang to buck$ ratio.
✓ AmazonTheses were a gift for my husband that wants to get into music production. They were recommended by all his friends who are all experienced and qualified sound nerds. I’m sure there’s probably better ones out there, but for a beginner set at a great price, these are the ones.
✓ AmazonDon't buy these. This was my second replacement that has now burnt out out of nowhere. Somewhere in the PCB board. Screen flashes indefinitely, just like the last one only this time I am in the 3 year warranty window with Gibson/KRK. I am insanely disappointed in these and likely will be going to HS8's and selling these once all of this life bogging warranty stuff gets figured out. Part of me doesn't even want to sell them for the next poor soul that will at some point have the same issues out of moral standpoint. Hopefully, this gets honored. Did not abuse it at all. Used it maybe 5 times for producing at low-mid volumes for mixdowns with both speakers on their own circuit with surge protector plugged into a Focusrite212 and a new XLR/pwr set just in case. This one lasted 4 months almost. Unreal.
