The XDJ-RR condenses the experience of a CDJ + club mixer setup into a single 2-channel unit. Each deck has its own 7-inch color touchscreen for browsing your rekordbox library without a laptop open in front of you, and the built-in effects (echo, reverb, flanger, filter, dub echo...) cover the basics of a set without external plugins.
It's the most established of the three controllers in this comparison, and it shows in the rating: 4.5 out of 5 with 228 reviews, the highest and most solid of the three. Buyers mostly describe it as the compact, reliable alternative to a full CDJ setup for playing at home, weddings or small gigs.
The trade-off is just 2 channels and rekordbox-only compatibility, if you need 4 channels live or want to use Serato, this isn't your unit.
Best for: Anyone who wants a compact, reliable, well-established system for weddings, private events or practicing at home without setting up a full 4-channel rig.
228 reviews averaging 4.5/5, the highest in this comparison. Buyers mostly describe it as a reliable, compact alternative to a full CDJ setup for playing at home or small gigs; there's hardly any weighty criticism of build quality or reliability.
If you like playing on CDJs and want a small setup for home, this is it! Everything you need in a nice compact size.
