The Mix Ultra starts from the same concept as the DJControl Mix (wireless Bluetooth control of the djay app on phone or tablet), but adds a lithium-polymer battery with up to 10 hours of continuous use, so you don't even need to be near an outlet. Neural Mix comes included free, normally a paid djay Pro feature that splits vocals, instruments and rhythm in real time using neural networks.
With 287 reviews and a 4.5/5 average, it clearly improves on the original DJControl Mix's backing. One user sums it up well: for the price, djay compatibility, and the fact that it's portable make it hard to match in its category.
Best for: Anyone who already used the DJControl Mix and wants to ditch the cables, or wants vocal/instrument separation without paying extra for it.
