The original of the Mixtrack line, though it now costs more than its successor without offering more.

5.0out of 10

The quick verdict

  • Metal build, feels sturdier than many current plastic controllers
  • 159 reviews at 4.3/5, an established track record
  • Includes Virtual DJ LE
  • At €249, it costs more than the newer, better-rated Mixtrack Pro FX
  • 2014 design, missing the audio interface improvements of current models
  • One review flags issues with the crossfader and pitch fader

Best for: Only makes sense at a clear discount off list price; otherwise the Mixtrack Pro FX offers more for less.

The Mixtrack II is the original model that gave the whole Mixtrack line its name: metal construction, 16 rubber pads, and lit jog wheels. It ships with Virtual DJ LE instead of Serato, so if you're already on Serato elsewhere, it's not the smoothest switch.

The problem isn't the controller itself, which by its 159 reviews (4.3/5) still works fine, it's the price: at €249 it costs more than the Mixtrack Pro FX (€216), which is newer, has a better audio interface, and has over ten times as many reviews. Hard to recommend unless you find it on a real discount.

159 reviews at 4.3/5. The metal build is well liked, but at least one review flags concrete crossfader and pitch fader issues.

Alles in allem eine sehr wertige Konsole. Sie fühlt sich gut an, ist optimal dimensioniert und hat Knöpfe für alles was wichtig ist. Sehr gut, bis auf: Crossfader und Pitchfader.
